Research is a task Codex is particularly good at: "I have an existing algorithm to do X – research a variety of approaches to see if you can improve it." As long as the results are clearly measurable (up by 10%, or whatever), Astra on Max will try *everything* to beat it.

For HWS+ subscribers: A* isn't guaranteed to find the single perfect route, but it's fast, practical, and close enough to optimal that it's the go-to choice for path finding in both games and apps.

Hot damn, GPT-6 Sol is cheap on subscription. I've moved from Astra xhigh to Sol xhigh, thrown a ton of work at it, and it's down 1% of my weekly limit vs 5-7% on Astra for the same work. Nice!
