4G/5G companion software for ArduPilot and PX4 drones
Turn a Raspberry Pi and an LTE/5G modem into a companion computer that streams live video and MAVLink telemetry to your ground control station, anywhere with mobile coverage. Install with one command and fly the same day.

Works with
Why cellular
Telemetry radios and video transmitters are limited by line of sight, terrain and transmitter power. UAVcast Pro runs on a companion computer such as a Raspberry Pi 5 and connects your flight controller to an LTE/5G modem, so your ground control station can reach the drone wherever there is mobile coverage. It is a practical building block for long-range and BVLOS operations where your regulations allow them.
UAVcast Pro runs on the companion computer on your drone and carries MAVLink telemetry and video over the mobile network to your ground control station.
Flight controller
Pixhawk, Cube or Matek running ArduPilot or PX4 sends MAVLink telemetry.
Companion computer
A Raspberry Pi with UAVcast Pro and a camera handles telemetry and video.
Features
Everything you need to fly, watch and control your drone over the mobile network, in one license.
Works with traditional and HiLink USB modems, with automatic network failover to keep your drone connected.
Stream MAVLink telemetry to Mission Planner, QGroundControl and other ground control stations at the same time.
HLS-based video from a Raspberry Pi Camera or USB webcam, delivered over the same cellular link as your telemetry.
Reach your drone through carrier NAT and firewalls without a public IP address. Included with every license.
Configure modems, video and telemetry from your browser, with real-time monitoring and system metrics.

How to start
From a bare Raspberry Pi or other Linux companion computer to a drone you can fly over the mobile network.
Run this on your Raspberry Pi or any 64-bit Linux companion computer:
curl -fsSL https://install.uavmatrix.com | sudo bashPlug in your 4G/LTE or 5G modem and connect your flight controller. UAVcast Pro detects your hardware and you configure the rest in the web dashboard.
Enter your license key, connect your ground control station and fly with live video and telemetry wherever there is coverage.
Use cases
UAVcast Pro is used wherever a drone needs to fly further than a radio link can reach.
Follow power lines, pipelines, railways and wind farms beyond handheld radio range, with live video for the inspector on the ground.
Monitor long survey and corridor missions in real time and keep telemetry flowing across large sites.
Cover large fields and remote farmland while following the mission from the farm office or a vehicle.
Give incident command a live view from the drone over the mobile network, without setting up extra radio infrastructure.
A MAVLink-based setup on standard Raspberry Pi hardware that works with ArduPilot and PX4 research platforms.
A cellular command and control link for long-range test flights and BVLOS trials. Always follow your local aviation regulations.
Compatible hardware
UAVcast Pro runs on any ARM64 or AMD64 Linux system with Raspberry Pi OS, Ubuntu or Debian, and talks to any MAVLink flight controller.
Minimum requirements: 1 GB RAM, 4 GB storage, 64-bit Linux.

UAVcast Pro is companion computer software that connects your drone's flight controller to a 4G/LTE or 5G modem. It streams live video and MAVLink telemetry to your ground control station over the mobile network, so you are not limited by the range of a radio link.
A Raspberry Pi (Zero 2W, 3, 4 or 5) or any other ARM64 or AMD64 Linux computer, a compatible 4G/LTE or 5G modem, and a flight controller that supports MAVLink. A Raspberry Pi Camera or USB webcam is needed for video.
Any flight controller that uses the MAVLink protocol, including ArduPilot (Pixhawk, Cube, Matek and others) and PX4-based systems.
Yes. UAVcast Pro streams standard MAVLink telemetry, so it works with Mission Planner, QGroundControl and other MAVLink ground control stations, and it can stream to several of them at the same time.
Yes. For cellular flights you need a 4G/LTE or 5G modem with an active SIM card and mobile data plan from your carrier. SIM cards and data plans are not included with the license.
It depends on your plan: Basic allows 1 device, Silver allows 2 devices and Gold allows up to 4 devices. You can deactivate and reactivate devices as needed.
No. You pay once per license term: Basic and Silver are valid for 1 year, Gold for 2 years. There are no recurring charges. When your license ends you can renew to keep receiving updates.
You can keep using the software version you have installed, but you won't receive new updates or be able to activate new devices until you renew.
