Stylish text is still text—with a few tradeoffs
These results use Unicode characters rather than downloadable font files. They can be pasted into many apps, but appearance and screen-reader pronunciation may vary.
Use thoughtfully
- Keep essential account information in plain text.
- Test the result in the app where it will appear.
- Unsupported characters remain unchanged.
- Avoid long decorative passages when readability matters.
Useful things to know
Are these downloadable fonts?
No. FontGenerate uses Unicode characters that resemble different type styles, so the result remains copyable text. You paste it into any field that accepts text; nothing is installed.
Will every character change?
Not always. If Unicode has no styled equivalent for a character, FontGenerate preserves the original instead of dropping it. Accented letters such as é, ß, and ñ usually stay as they are.
Does FontGenerate save my text?
No. Generation happens in your browser and your text is not sent to analytics, logs, or a server. Reloading the page starts fresh.
Why does a style look different in another app?
Apps and operating systems draw Unicode characters with their own fonts. Widely supported styles look consistent; rarer symbols may differ or show as boxes on old devices.
How many styles are there?
More than 150 curated styles across bold, cursive, aesthetic, gaming, gothic, symbol, frame, kaomoji, emoji, and look-alike script categories. Near-duplicates are removed so every style earns its place.
Which style should I use for a username?
Most account usernames only accept plain letters and numbers. Use a style for the display name or nickname instead, and choose a high-readability style such as bold, sans-serif, or small caps.
How do I find a specific style?
Use the category chips to narrow by mood, or type into the style search — it matches style names, aliases, and categories in your interface language, ignoring accents.
Can I use the generated text commercially?
You can use the text you create in personal or commercial work without crediting FontGenerate. You remain responsible for the words, brands, and platform rules involved.
Is styled text accessible to screen readers?
Inconsistently. Some screen readers read styled letters as words; others spell out their technical names. Keep essential information in plain text and use styles for decoration.
Why is there a 500-character limit?
The limit keeps generation instant on mid-range phones and matches how styled text is used: names, headlines, and short lines rather than paragraphs.
