"Trump is humanly incapable of putting the country's interests first. He is capable of acting ONLY in his own interests." I will never understand how a man gets to cloak himself in the label "America first" when his whole life and whole presidency were always, 110%, "ME first"

My Final Plea To EVERY Voter: I come from the populist GOP base. I voted for Trump in 2016. When I publicly turned against Trump in 2018, I took a blowtorch to my career. I lost everything. But I did it bcuz I believe Trump is everything our Founders feared. He lies every time

If you click on a Twitter ad, or buy a Tesla, or Starlink service - you are now providing the primary source of funding for Trump's ground game in the crucial swing states. Consider that before you ever give them another penny.

New -- Elon Musk donated $75m to America PAC, which is doing the bulk of the Trump campaign's ground game work across the battleground states. Musk donated $15m in July, $30m in August and $30m in September, per FEC filings. Notably, he's the PAC's only donor

Awesome and something to feel very proud of, but: counting individual satellites instead of *pounds* of payload launched may be overstating this given the advent of microsatellites like Starlink

A great set of topics for introspection for any thoughtful news organization that's still interested in trying to do real, balanced journalism in our current era

Aside from all these points, there's also: how a claim that was already known to be false (by its own source!) days earlier could spread so virally without correction - and continue spreading for so long after. Tech could build *such* better tools to fight disinformation...

It’s not about how easy it was for people to believe a —someone has to say it —batshit crazy lady who, INSTEAD OF LOOK EVERYWHERE for her missing pet, with zero evidence, immediately jumped to: “Well, the Haitians must’ve eaten it.”
