The design system shouldn't live in a tab you have to go dig up first. 0.7.3 put the docs in the menu. 0.7.4 puts the pattern guidelines in the editor. The guidance meets you where you build.

CivicPress status alert colors (info, warning, success, error, emergency) used to be theme defaults. Off-palette meant custom CSS forever. 0.7.4 gives you a screen: accent + background, light and dark, saved once. Done.

CivicPress 0.7.4 is out. Customize your status alert colors for light and dark themes, get live pattern demos in the docs, and see pattern guidelines right inside the content editor. No PHP bump, no breaking changes.

A lot of us are building on CivicPress with an AI assistant in the loop now. 0.7.3 adds agentic instructions so the theme can hand that assistant the context it needs to document blocks, patterns, template parts, functions, and styles. Early, but it's where things are heading.

You build the site in WordPress. Why read the docs in a different tab? CivicPress 0.7.3 puts the user documentation in the CivicPress menu, right next to the work. Small change. Saves you the tab-hunting.
