Whyyyyyy do I get “try Rust!” when I’m talking about Go _every_ time. People, trying to debate or learn a language is not a selling opportunity. I write Go for a living. I can’t just switch because it’s fun (I also don’t like Rust anyways, I think Swift is nicer).

Outside of the twitter bubble, I literally don't see anyone adopting Rust for their workplace. The jobs are non existent and mostly clustered in a few locations. Also, it's slow to compile, needs 69 crates for an http call, and clogs CI all the time. Also, Rust for web BE?lol

Same. Also the built in tooling is far better than having to string together a bunch of ad hoc toolings. With the built in pprof and leak prof you can get 90% of Rust's performance with 10% of the hassle.

We have used Go for more than ten years and only update the dependencies when we feel bored. It is very stable and let you focus on your business instead of updating the deps every 6 month or unable to build. Regarding the error, I believe Go instructs us to handle the errors

Sorry G, but calling Go “beautifully designed” is a immediate unfollow for me. We just have too different of perspectives on what that means. Math is beautiful. Go’s error handling is the least mathy thing ever in programming.

Experimentation platforms needs a standard. There's openFeature for flags but A/B testing needs a standard as well. The fragmenation is bonkers and every tool completely reinvents the wheel.

I am so mad that, despite hearing about the Pi harness from when it was devised, it took me this long to start using it. My workplace injects quite a bit of skills, mcps & other bloat into cc & codex, and Pi takes 2 minutes to clean that up. Also, it doesn't bloat my context.
