Overqualified? In a Belgian field experiment, researchers sent 1,024 applications to 512 starter jobs that asked for a bachelor’s degree. Applicants with a master’s were 19% more likely to be invited to interview than those with a bachelor’s. (Verhaest and colleagues, 2018.)
