Technion

I am an Assistant Professor at the Technion's faculty of Data and Decision Sciences, working on machine learning and causal inference with a focus on healthcare applications. My interests span foundational and applied questions in topics such as out-of-distribution generalization, sequential decision-making, ML safety, and probabilistic inference.

Before the Technion I was a faculty fellow/assistant professor at NYU. Even before that, I was a postdoc at Johns Hopkins, and received my PhD at the Hebrew University under the supervision of Prof. Amir Globerson and Prof. Ami Wiesel, while working at Google Research Tel Aviv on explainability of computer vision models.

News:
  • Gave a talk in CGSI@UCLA – a great experience, highly recommend for faculty and students alike!
  • Papers accepted at IEEE Transactions on Image Processing and TMLR (arxiv version, code). The second one is Shravan Chaudhari's beautiful work to significantly extend and scale our past work on novel class detection.
  • Our paper on Competing Event Models was chosen for a contributed talk at the ICML 2025 workshop on Scaling Up Intervention Models.
