This webinar tells the powerful story of a community of people with disabilities who came together to demand change within the nation’s oldest public transit system. At the center of the story is the landmark class action lawsuit Daniels-Finegold et al. v. MBTA, which challenged the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority to provide accessible public transportation. What began as a fight to make it possible to catch a bus or train became a broader movement to confront systemic failures, transform public policy, and elevate understanding of disability and access to create lasting change.
