The Cloud Lab develops research oriented to the conception of specialized models and architectures based primarily on the paradigm of on-demand availability of computing resources as services over the Internet for the processing of High-Performance Applications. Currently, the main research lines focus on serverless computing models, Multi-Cloud and Federated Cloud systems, Blockchain systems, and advanced architectures for Artificial Intelligence. The lab has several research projects in each of these fields, doctoral theses in progress and numerous transfer contracts with companies.
