(some thinkers who have influenced me)
The journey of a form along the line of time
a form impregnating the barren line of time
a form conscious of an image
that returns from a feast in a mirror.

Share anonymous feedbackI lead the TSG Lab in Engineering at the University of Oxford, where I am a Senior Researcher and Governing Body Fellow in AI & Machine Learning at Reuben College. I am also Technical Director of the AI Governance Initiative and MTS at Martian. Most of my research involves looking inside neural networks to understand how they work, and asking whether that understanding can help us evaluate, control, and govern increasingly capable AI systems.
Selected affiliations: Honorary Fellow at the School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh; Visiting Fellow at Barcelona Supercomputing Center; Visiting Scholar at CHAI, UC Berkeley; Research Affiliate at CSER, University of Cambridge, and the Digital Trust Centre, Nanyang Technological University; Member of ELLIS.
I am looking for students (how to apply). I am committed to partnering with researchers from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds.
