The forty-operation query set (#82d) with its per-table counts, the one measurement set every table reports (ArcadeData#89), answer equivalence as a rule, an invariant and two field traps (ArcadeData#88), durability matched at the relaxed end with the engines that cannot be (ArcadeData#81), the October start order and the preview switch (ArcadeData#83, ArcadeData#84, ArcadeData#86), and the comparator re-pin list with its two pinning defects (ArcadeData#87). FAIRNESS gains F10 durability, F11 close cost (the number fairness_check already prints), and F12 equivalence; F10 and F11 were taken by code before the file documented them, so equivalence takes the next free number rather than renumbering either. …the knobs the lanes read Three additions to bench_common that the lane changes behind this commit all depend on, plus the runner allowlist entries without which those knobs would be silently dropped at the container boundary. result_digest gains `coerce`, declared once per query and never per engine: a column that holds an instant is declared as one, so the ArcadeDB document arm's epoch seconds, the native arm's epoch milliseconds, MongoDB's and TimescaleDB's datetimes, and QuestDB's timestamp are one value rather than five disagreements per query with any real one hidden among them. Likewise a month key, which DuckDB and PostgreSQL produce as a truncated date and everyone else as a seven-character substring. The seconds/milliseconds split is by magnitude and the rule is stated: epoch seconds do not reach 1e12 until the year 33658. record_cold_warm writes cold_<q>_ms, warm_<q>_p50_ms and warm_<q>_p99_ms in every lane under one naming convention (DECISIONS ArcadeData#89), in two call shapes, because some lanes already measure the cold pass separately and some do not. The NA_* strings say why a measurement does not apply, defined once so two lanes cannot phrase one exemption differently: a transactional cell is warm by construction, the lifecycle lane is itself the cold measurement, the two vector lanes warm on a held-out slice before timing. The runner's env allowlist is CLOSED, so every knob the 2026-10 lanes read is added here in the same change: BENCH_CRUD_OPS, BENCH_DENSE_MUTATE and its two companions, E2_READ_OPS, E2_FILTER_OVERFETCH, E2_OPS, E2_PRODUCTS, BENCH_OLAP_ITER, BENCH_QITER, BENCH_GRAPH_OLAP_ITER and BENCH_GRAPH_OLAP_BUDGET_S. A knob added to a lane and forgotten here runs the lane's in-script default while the launcher believes otherwise, which is how BENCH_LC_ITERS stayed latent for a whole campaign. …mething other than a digest DECISIONS #82d adds two dense operations: insert into a built index then search, delete from a built index then search, at the one-million tier only, reporting latency and the recall after each. Every dense arm implements both -- ArcadeDB embedded and served at both precisions, Chroma, LanceDB, sqlite-vec at both precisions, DuckDB-VSS, Qdrant, pgvector, Neo4j, SurrealDB, ArangoDB, and Milvus, whose insert and delete carry the flush-and-load that makes a mutation visible to the INDEX rather than to a growing segment answered by brute force. THE ORDER IS DELETE, THEN RE-INSERT THE SAME IDS, and that is what makes the recall exact rather than estimated. The ground truth after deleting a set is the original ground truth with that set removed, and re-inserting exactly that set restores it, so nothing is brute-force recomputed over a million vectors for a thousand queries on any arm. The victims are drawn from the ground truth itself so the deletions bite; an index that quietly ignores a delete keeps returning them and `mutate_deleted_hits` says how many, which must be zero and is a correctness failure rather than a latency one when it is not. `mutate_ran` and `mutate_reason` are on every dense row and say which of three cases applied: the one-million tier, forced on by BENCH_DENSE_MUTATE=1 (which is how the laptop exercises the phase at micro), or not this tier. An engine whose index cannot take a mutation would declare MUTATE_UNEXPRESSIBLE and the row would record the reason; none does today. The two vector lanes and the lifecycle lane also record why they carry no cold/warm split: both vector lanes warm on a held-out slice before they time anything, and their cold and warm columns come from the multipass driver; the lifecycle lane is itself the cold measurement (ArcadeData#89). The lifecycle lane's read gains a digest (ArcadeData#88): one engine, two deployments, and the embedded and served arms must return the same rows for the same situation. The vector situation records the reason instead, because its read goes through an approximate index. The rows are converted to plain dicts after the action timer stops and before the handle closes, so nothing is charged to a timed window. …eries (DECISIONS ArcadeData#89 as amended) The cold question is about the SESSION, so the page prints one cold column per table rather than one per query. Every lane now records `cold_first_query_ms` and `cold_first_query_name` from the first query the cell ran after the database opened; the per-query `cold_<q>_ms` fields stay, because a row carrying more than the page prints is useful. record_first_query uses setdefault rather than assignment, so a lane can call it at the top of every query and only the first call sticks. That makes the field mean what it says however a lane's loops are arranged, instead of depending on someone remembering to call it once. Two lanes needed a decision rather than a line. On the two vector lanes the first query after the database opens is a WARMUP query, not the first timed one, because the timed pass deliberately runs against an engine the warmup has already touched; the warmup query is therefore the honest cold number and is recorded as such while staying out of the percentiles. The cross-model atomicity workload times an interrupted write and no query at all, and records the reason; the lifecycle lane is itself the cold measurement and records that. Also written down: no aggregated per-table statistic is published, on any table. An arithmetic mean across queries whose times span five orders of magnitude is the slowest query in disguise, a median across them moves when a query is added, and the summary figure already carries the cross-table ratio view. CAMPAIGN.md gains the two-line queue recipe for ArcadeData#90's second cell, so a queue script author does not have to derive it from the runner's help. …found DECISIONS ArcadeData#86: every lane and every backend at the smallest size each has, one repetition, both durability classes on every timed write, 138 rows into results/runs_skeleton_laptop.jsonl, 120 of them frozen, published to the preview route with every gate green. Seven cells exceeded their budget and are censored observations rather than gaps: SurrealDB embedded on document analytics, graph analytics, and the cross-model lane in both classes, and both ArcadeDB document-path time-series arms. THE EXPORTER DID NOT PUBLISH THE OCTOBER COLUMNS. The rows have carried them since the instrument branch landed; the page's column lists had not moved, so the document tables printed neither the four single-record operations nor three of the five analytical queries, the graph tables printed neither update nor the two new analytics, the dense table printed one ingest timer instead of two and neither mutation pass, the cross-model table printed neither read path, and no table printed a cold column. OCT_TABLE_METRICS now REPLACES a lane's September column list under the 2026-10 instrument rather than adding to it, which is ArcadeData#89's own arithmetic: one warm median per query, one ninety-ninth percentile on the table's headline query, one cold column, throughput, recall, memory, disk, and the vector lanes' two build timers. FIVE MORE THINGS THE RUN FOUND, each of which would have shipped: * The document split was keyed on the RETIRED synthetic lanes being present, so under October, where they are not run, the page would have gone back to one raw table with every column in it. Keyed on the TPC lane now. * The graph analytics table was keyed to the campaign's two LDBC tiers, so a skeleton silently drew ten tables instead of eleven and nothing said which one was missing. * The time-series table's size column was a typed constant, so a laptop slice printed the campaign's corpus over it. * `_censored_cells` read runs.jsonl whatever file the publish was built from, so a laptop timeout left an engine off a table with no note at all. * A skeleton export overwrote results/web_benchmarks.json, the tracked record of what the LIVE page serves. It writes web_benchmarks_skeleton.json now, the same split make_paper_tables already applies to the freeze. THE ANSWER CHECK EARNED ITS KEEP. It refused the publish over the per-host hourly time-series query: ArcadeDB's served arm returns one bucket per host where its own embedded twin, on the same build, and DuckDB, SQLite, MongoDB, QuestDB and TimescaleDB all return one per host and hour. The single-key form of the same expression agrees on both arms, so it is the two-key group-by that is wrong. equivalence_check gains KNOWN_DISAGREEMENTS, which prints it on every run and stops failing the publish, and export_web gains WITHHELD_CELLS, which takes that one cell off the page and says why under the table. A latency for a query that answered something else is not a measurement of that query. Also: the graph lane stamped `graph_source` as "ldbc-<scale>" on every run, synthetic ones included, because the line sat inside the gen_edges wrapper; the laptop has no LDBC corpus and its rows claimed one. F11's known-regression exception matched on engine_commit alone, which a skeleton does not stamp, so a documented upstream-fixed cost failed the one publish that could do nothing about it; it matches the releases now, which is evidence rather than a claim. page_check found the site by assuming the two repositories are siblings, which a worktree is not, and then died in a traceback instead of reporting it. The skeleton's own guards, unchanged and exercised: every frozen row is the laptop at sweep tier, F1 and F3 are waived by name in the payload, every other gate runs as it will in October, and the banner and every table's conditions say in plain words that the machine was running other work while these were timed, that each cell ran once rather than five times, and that the numbers are not comparable between engines or against the live page. AND DECISIONS ArcadeData#91, WHICH ARRIVED MID-SWEEP AND IS IN THIS COMMIT. Both served SurrealDB dense cells at ten million vectors on the bench host built their index and then died inside the timed queries with "no close frame received or sent", on a server that was still up. Read out of the SDK rather than guessed: it opens its socket with the websockets library's defaults, whose keepalive pings every twenty seconds and closes the connection when no pong arrives within twenty more, so a server busy answering a long query gets hung up on by its own client. surreal_common now sets those options explicitly and records them on the row, wraps the served client so a dropped socket is rebuilt, re-authenticated and re-selected once, and DISCARDS the sample taken across the drop rather than publishing the reconnect's cost as a query's latency. Every SurrealDB row carries `reconnects`, zero when nothing happened. Proved on the laptop, since the ten-million case cannot be: the server container was restarted underneath a running micro cell, and the cell finished rc=0 with reconnects=1, 1,959 timed operations against every other engine's 1,960 (the discarded sample), and new-order and insert digests identical to DuckDB's and ArcadeDB's. test_surreal_reconnect.py covers the machinery itself, fourteen checks with no container.
