Since MapServer 5.0, validation patterns used for validating runtime substitutions can be provided through a VALIDATION block instead of the previous usage of a keyname_validation_pattern metadata entry.
The metadata method has been deprecated for long enough to be removed now, and this will simplify the codebase.
