fread (and fwrite) vignette #2855

Description

@jangorecki

There is very nice documentation of fread usage examples in https://github.com/Rdatatable/data.table/wiki/Convenience-features-of-fread
IMO this should be moved to proper package documentation (to be part of R package and not github project), ideally as vignette. We could have vignette on data IO (fread, fwrite) describing different options, optimizations (like #1656) and tricks like in linked wiki page.

    Now I remember when I saw it. Still I think it make sense to have separate issue for vignette. Unless there are multiple vignettes related to each other which should be made together. So we can address them one by one, not just one big issue forever open :)

    Hi @jangorecki,

    I hope you're doing well. I came across issue #2855 regarding the idea of moving the fread() and fwrite() usage examples from the GitHub wiki into a proper vignette within the package, and I’d like to know if this issue is still relevant.

    If yes, I’d be very interested in working on it and contributing the vignette.

    Before I get started, is there anything specific you’d like to see from the PR in terms of scope, structure, or level of detail?

    Thank you, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

    Best regards,

    Best to propose the scope by providing bullet points ##, ###, #### and put it under discussion here.
