on Oct 23, 2025 Thanks. I have verified that this works for animated webp images in the latest release.
I also tested with an animated png image, but it does not seem to work. Should I add another issue or is that expected behavior?
I think we've already fixed that in main for PNG which will be in the upcoming v4 release. Certainly, looks that way.
Is there a date set for v4 or can it be backported to v3?
I would like to ship v4 before the end of the year but there’s still a lot to do. If someone else wants to backport it to 3.1.x branch then I’ll release an update. Otherwise I need to focus.
