on Aug 10, 2021 Okay, sorry it took awhile to get to this issue. I’ve dug into this a little bit, and improved things. Heres a before (top) and after (bottom):

The new state isn’t as perfect as I’d like, but part of that is because Recursive prioritizes keeping line-lengths the exact same between Sans styles (and thus, kerning is shared across some fairly different shapes). I may revisit this again in the future, but I’ll release this upgrade now to mostly solve this. I am currently building the fonts, and I should be able to release this today (or else this week) as version
1.079. It will take more time for this to trickle over to Google Fonts, however.Reacted by Raphaël Bastide
The following image shows a printed appostrophe followed by a
ê. I think it is too tight. The params in use are"MONO" 0, "CASL" 0, "wght" 380, "slnt" 0, "CRSV" 0.5. I didn’t test if similar errors exist elsewhere.
