astropy.utils.misc.InheritDocstrings were deprecated in 4.0 (#8881) and should be removed after a reasonable deprecation period (after 4.2?). This is a follow up of #7167.
Milestone is tracked via #10281 now. A little too late to get that one into 4.2 (sorry that I dropped the review ball there) but hopefully it will get into master soon after 4.2 release, so people have plenty of time to raise issues before 4.3.
