I am having the same issue. The custom schemes in the detailed example do not seem to work on Linux. I am using Fedora 36. All I have to do to reproduce is launch the detailed example and click on any of the custom scheme bookmarks.

If you run the test application (
./run.sh linux64 Release detailed)and enter an invalid “client” URL, eg client://test the error:[0318/172459.150269:ERROR:validation_errors.cc(76)] Invalid message: VALIDATION_ERROR_DESERIALIZATION_FAILED (content.mojom.NavigationClient.1332418809 )is displayed in the log window.
onLoadError of CefLoadHandlerAdapter is not called.
I can’t reproduce it in the test application, but you can reach a state where these messages just scroll constantly.
This appears to be a regression. Under, for example:
JCEF Version = 78.2.7.239CEF Version = 78.2.7Chromium Version = 78.0.3904.70The error message was printed but onLoadError was also called.
I tried with the default chromium 80.0.3987.122 and with this:
