  • Preserve marketplace search input focus when typing by only running the topbar route handoff on path-changing navigations.
  • Route ClawHub skill search through /api/v1/search?type=skill so query changes return query-specific results instead of the unchanged skills listing.
  • Update web, registry, and CLI test fixtures around the corrected behavior.

Root Cause

  • TanStack Router emits onResolved for search-param-only navigations; TopbarShell treated those as full route changes and moved focus to the h1 after each typed search update.
  • ClawHub's /api/v1/skills listing endpoint ignores the q parameter, so the backend was returning the same marketplace results for different search text. The query-aware endpoint is /api/v1/search with type=skill.

Test Placement

  • UI invariant: search-param-only route resolution must not move keyboard focus away from the active field. Owning layer: topbar shell component unit. Canonical suite: web/src/components/__tests__/topbar-shell.test.tsx.
  • Backend invariant: skill marketplace search must use ClawHub's search endpoint so query changes produce query-specific results. Owning layer: ClawHub registry adapter unit. Canonical suite: internal/registry/clawhub/client_test.go.
  • CLI fixture invariant: skill search command tests must emulate the same marketplace search endpoint as the adapter. Owning layer: CLI test fixture. Canonical suite: internal/cli/skill_test.go.

  • Workspace data isolation: no impact with checked surfaces: no persisted/session/workspace data path changed; marketplace search remains remote, read-only, and not workspace-scoped.
  • Official AGH skill: no impact with checked surfaces: no public behavior/tool IDs/CLI paths/hook events/capabilities/bundles/resources/memory/network/task semantics or agent guidance changed.
