Improve visual hierarchy and readability of rendered Markdown #653
While testing Compozy, I found that long assistant responses feel visually uniform, particularly in the dark theme. Headings, links, tables, and body text have limited visual differentiation, making it harder to scan sections and follow structured information.
For example, a response containing an introduction, a comparison table, and implementation steps could be easier to read with clearer heading levels, more visible links, and stronger table styling.
What would you like to happen?
Refine Markdown styling in conversation responses to make long answers easier to scan:
Distinguish heading levels through font size, weight, and spacing.
Give links a recognizable accent color and hover treatment.
Improve tables with clearer headers, comfortable cell padding, and subtle borders or background contrast.
Improve list indentation, including nested lists.
Use consistent spacing between paragraphs, sections, and other Markdown elements.
Keep the result consistent with Compozy's visual identity.
Acceptance criteria
Heading levels and section boundaries are easy to identify.
Links are recognizable within body text.
Table headers and rows are easy to distinguish and read.
Lists have clear, consistent indentation.
Long responses remain readable at narrow widths; wide tables scroll without breaking the message layout.
Text remains legible with accessible contrast across supported themes.
Evaluate the styling with the same representative Markdown sample, including headings, paragraphs, links, tables, and nested lists.

Alternatives you considered
Agor provides a useful reference for the reading experience: its headings, links, tables, and spacing make structured responses easier to scan. The goal is to improve readability while keeping Compozy's own style.
Monocode is another styling reference worth exploring for typography, spacing, and the visual presentation of agent conversations.
