In `@internal/terminal/pty/shell_integration.go`:
- Line 108: Update zshContinueIntegration so the private shim ZDOTDIR is not
exported to child shells; preserve the original ZDOTDIR for inheritance while
retaining the shim routing only for the parent startup flow. Add a regression
test covering a child launched before zshRestoreDirectory verifies it keeps the
original ZDOTDIR and does not load the parent zshMarkerScript nonce.

@coderabbitai review Please cover the current head d24639f, specifically the Greptile remediation that binds child metadata to the current private shim root and tests stale inherited metadata. The current walkthrough still records source/covered commit 07cb7c4, so I cannot use it as review coverage for this later production change. The walkthrough's docstring-coverage warning has also been evaluated: the touched helpers and tests are internal, and |

I will focus on the child-metadata binding to the active private shim root and the stale inherited-metadata test coverage. I will treat the generic docstring-coverage warning as not applicable for these internal helpers and tests. I used the repository guidance you provided. ✏️ Learnings added

What & why
Closes #626.
Opening an integrated zsh with a plugin manager that reads
${ZDOTDIR:-$HOME}/.zsh_plugins.txtpreviously looked for the bundle inside CompozyOS's private shim directory. The shim sourced the
user's files without restoring their environment. A
.zshenvthat changed ZDOTDIR could alsocause zsh to bypass the injected
.zshrc, losing authenticated command markers. The shim now restores the original ZDOTDIR before user
.zshenvexecutes, including inherited, unset, explicitly empty, and quoted values. It temporarily resumes shim routing between
interactive startup stages, adding a
.zprofilebridge for login shells. Each bridge preservesZDOTDIR's declaration and export attribute, restores it before user code, and follows any user
redirection when locating the next file. The final
.zshrcrestores the user's environment andinstalls the existing markers after user configuration. Native zsh handles
.zloginand.zlogout.Noninteractive shells restore their environment without continuing interactive shim routing.
This preserves the zsh user-startup ordering
without rewriting user configuration. Nested shells inherit user configuration rather than
installing the parent's nonce. Early children launched by global startup files restore the user
directory/export state before sourcing their own configuration and bypass parent marker injection.
Child metadata is bound to the current private shim; stale inherited metadata cannot disable
authenticated markers in a new terminal. Global system startup remains owned by zsh; the behavioral
regressions exercise user configuration.
How you verified it
Implemented and checked by Codex (GPT-6 Astra).

child load their bundles; the parent emits authenticated start/finish markers and the child
does not inherit its nonce.

disabled integration are unchanged. The affected
