Maximum allowable header size exceeded: 8192 #74

Closed

Description

@gitressa

Some of my pages are long lists of links, so they return this error:
"exception":"Maximum allowable header size exceeded: 8192"

Is it possible to increase the allowed header size, or might it have unintended consequences?

    It is possible and looks like something we should allow to be configured (in addition to max body size). Curious as to which headers exceed 8,192 bytes though.

    Thanks! I was wrong, it isn't due to many links on the page, but because there are a lot of content in the Cache-Tags field.

    Thanks, I tried the latest vesion with #75 and it worked perfectly, allowing me to increase the header size with --client-max-header-size=16384.

    I wonder if it is worth considering raising Fink's default Max header size to 16384?

    I have created a PR which increases the Max header, see #111.
