    Maybe we should also include this issue as a part of this? #121486. It would also break a ton of image diff tests.

    It seems to indicate that the calculation for the height of outlined floating label fields is wrong. This would include Material 2 and 3 fields.

    I think it's going to be harder than I thought to fix the layout bugs. I closed my attempt in #86093 after running into inconsistencies and test breakages. This may require a big breaking change and/or a rewrite.

    For the subtext gap, I filed #145087 but it was reverted because of one internal test failure. Waiting for the repro, see #145087 (comment).
