Text selection handles face wrong direction in RTL app with LTR text #187799
Description
Steps to reproduce
- Run a Flutter app with ambient
TextDirection.rtl(e.g. Arabic locale). - Focus a single-line text field and enter LTR text (e.g. English).
- Select the text to show the selection handles.
Expected results
Selection handles should align with the selected text and point toward the selection on both ends.
Actual results
Selection handles render with the wrong orientation/position relative to the selected text when the ambient directionality is RTL and the selected text is LTR.
Environment
- Platform: Android (observed on device)
- App locale/direction: RTL (Arabic UI)
- Selected text direction: LTR (English)
