general: Expose plain api calls? #160
Description
Activity
We haven't discussed it AFAIK. 2 things come to mind - making transitioning from a different library and flexibility. At this stage of the game, we're not focusing on existing client users. There's not that many TBH. We're going to heavily promote gcloud as the library for Cloud users anyway, so it might not be an issue. We can certainly revisit that once we get enough feedback. On flexibility - again, I think it's a bit too early to add bloat without the demand. That said, in the future we might make gcloud dependant on the discovery-based libraries which would allow anyone to access the discovery-based methods.

[-]Expose plain api calls?[/-][+]general: Expose plain api calls?[/+]on Oct 5, 2014 Considering I opened this, having worked with the library for a while, I understand that the motivation for this library is not to be an all-in-one solution so I think it's fair to say that this issue is to be closed as WONTFIX.

I understand the motivation behind this library is to provide an idiomatic way to interact with the google cloud platform. Any discussion around also providing the developer with the plain-jane methods to make the transition a little easier if they are using a different client library? E.g. It might not be very idiomatic to create a transaction, but if I want to use this library and also have that flexibility if I so incline, will it be an option?
