bug(gfql): Cypher on nodes-only graphs crashes on BOTH engines (bare errors; policy toggles the pandas path) #1879

Description

@lmeyerov

Amplification round-001 (agents 01+03, empirically at the #1878 head): all Cypher on a nodes-only graph (graphistry.nodes(df, 'id'), no edges bound) crashes — pandas TypeError: 'NoneType' object is not subscriptable at ast.py:265 (g._edges[:0]), polars bare AssertionError at polars/chain.py:898. Label/plain/aggregate forms, eager and lazy alike. Worse: on pandas, attaching ANY policy disables the fast path that would have answered, so policy toggles correctness. Existing nodes-only tests only pinned a pre-execution PolicyException, masking it. Wanted: a typed error contract (or an answer for node-only patterns) identical across engines and policy on/off.
