Previous discussion:

Since I added a file for handling module parameters, I also moved the no_feedback option that @kitakar5525 added into that file. I hope that is ok.

If it is desired I will make a follow-up PR on this, that updates the setup script and adds the latest firmware in the expected folder layout. (ideally this would be after a kernel containing this driver has been released).

Perfect, thanks! Tested and merged.

That would be much appreciated, I'll compile and upload some 5.2 and 4.19 kernels later.

With linux-surface/linux-surface#7 merged, it is possible to
install all the existing IPTS firmwares, and have the kernel driver decide which
one should be loaded depending on the hardware it runs on.

The other firmware files were never conflicting in the first place so it is
possible to install all of them as well.

This allows to simplify the setup script since the installation of the firmware
is handled by the same command that installs the config files. No need for if
blocks that check for the current device by DMI matching.

The firmware files are from the latest linux-firmware versions, as well as the
newest release of the driver package for Surface Book 2.

The current v6.9 patches include a fix for the serdev driver probe
issue. Therefore, we don't need to build in the serial driver modules
any longer.
