Nextcloud 34 issues #132
Description
First off, thank you for getting it working on version 34 altogether—I had material in there I needed to retrieve. However, it still doesn’t work properly on my phone or computer: content scrolls off-screen and you can’t reach the save button or anything at the bottom, so I can’t see everything in a note nor add a phone number because I can’t save unless the window happens to open in the right spot (I can resize it each time to force it to work). Every individual note should support scrolling via the mouse wheel or, on a phone, swiping up and down so you can reach the bottom—HTML5 ought to handle that easily. A simple improvement would also be auto-saving when you click outside the note instead of warning that you’ll lose changes. I’m going to try coding one of those fixes myself; I can’t do much harm since the current state already makes it fairly unusable. This problem doesn’t appear on other versions—I still have 32 and it’s fine there—so it’s isolated to 34. I’m unsure about 33 because I essentially skipped it, installing it only long enough to move past it.
I wasn’t sure whether anyone else was reporting this or if it was just me; I’d already tried to get it running before the official release and got it partially working, though it still wasn’t reading correctly for some odd reason. I wanted to raise the issue because yours is by far the note app I like most—it’s the fastest, while the others are painfully slow, and nobody wants a sluggish notes system. Regardless, thank you for your time and development; I’ll keep waiting for whatever you release next. I had to mention this because it’s hurting my productivity, especially when notes get stuck with no way to extract them (there’s no export feature). That leads to my last request: something like Google Keep’s export to Docs would be great—exporting automatically into an Assistant folder or similar location on the machine (I realize it’s Taco, so if you prefer a different approach that’s fine). More AI integration with the Assistant—rewriting and similar features—would also be cool, or whatever else you can connect to the Assistant side. I can’t use the full AI because I don’t run Docker, but I do use the Assistant and I’m not sure what the limits are for wiring third-party tools into it. Keep up the excellent work—you and your team are the shit. Thanks for the awesome plugin.

Fixes long note editing. Issue #132
matiasdelellis commentedon Aug 26, 2026
Hi @formytech
The long note editing issue should be fixed in the last commit. Try it, but I'll release an update tomorrow with just that. 😉
About editing from phones is always difficult to test. Personally, I aspire to native clients, but it's always an outstanding debt of the project.
There is an Android client in development that I personally use, but I never officially released it.
Exporting and importing is also pending, but I don't want to use files as a backend.
