This is kind of omission, because https://github.com/micropython/micropython-lib/blob/master/pkg_resources/pkg_resources.py already relies on it and it's already used in the latest version of notes-pico (the one which runs on esp8266). The reason it wasn't submitted before is apparently because the script is so simple ;-). Well, it can become more complex overtime, but let's start from the start. |

Afterwards, they can be access using pkg_resource module from micropython-lib.
