Attachment icon confusing for inserting images #8162

Description

@ThureHauser

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
I dont know how to insert pictures with markdown in Collectives (and other Nextcloud apps). I can find the syntax, but dont know how to specify path to the picture, whether it should be uploaded to Nextcloud first, how to specify Nextcloud path, etc.
Describe the solution you'd like
A menu option to add pictures, with possibilities for file or path selection

Describe alternatives you've considered
None. I like the app otherwise

Additional context
I think Nexcloud and other similar packages should avoid that ordinary users need to master syntax for everyday tasks.

Dear @ThureHauser, thanks for the report. You can insert images by selecting the paper clip (attachment) button in the editor menubar and then selecting "upload from computer". Could you check whether this works for you?

I guess you already looked at the icons in the menubar and didn't expect the paper clip icon to be the right one for uploading an image, right? We decided to use this one as you can upload any files this way and just using a picture icon would be confusing for people who want to upload other attachment files.

    Thanks a lot @mejo- !!
It works - but I did not expect an attachment icon would also cover insertions into the text.
    Good to know !

Thanks @ThureHauser. I changed the title of the issue to reflect that the attachments icon is confusing for inserting images. I also transferred it to the repository of the Nextcloud text editor, as that's the app that provides the menubar.

@marcoambrosini do you have an idea which icon could fit better for uploading images and attachments?

I remember vaguely that we already discussed this earlier and that you had a suggestion for a better fitting icon.

Thanks @ThureHauser for the report and @emberfiend for the research :)

It's a bit of a tricky one because this is the add/insert menu as @mejo- notes, many different things can be added from this menu.
My preferred solution here would be to use the + icon, and possible even followed by an Add caption whenever there's enough width.

One the menu is open though, I think we have a problem. The top section of the menu offers two actions that refer to "where from" one can add, as opposed to "What" one can add, which we have on the bottom section. I think that using the latter pattern for everything here would make it easier to use.

So basically we would have dedicated Add file, Add image actions. For such Add image action we could use this icon

The "from where" decision should come at a later stage. For simplicity here it could now be within the action menu itself, but eventually it would be nice to have this built into our file picker
