πŸ“ Task Description

  • Fork and set up the SnapMap repository.
  • Add yourself as a registered contributor by creating a text file inside the contributors folder.

πŸ”§ Steps to Complete This Task

1. Fork & Clone the Repository

Click Fork to create your own copy.

Clone the repo locally:

git clone <your_forked_repo_url>

2. Create the Contributors Folder (if not already present)

SnapMap/
└── contributors/

3. Add Your Identity File

Inside the contributors folder, create a file:

<your_roll_number>.txt

Inside the file, add the following details:

Name:
GitHub Username:
Favorite Country you want to Go:
Favorite (Underrated) Movie/Anime/Series: 

Write some thing that you expect from this event:

Note:

If you are from Outside IIITA, fill details inside the contributors/Outside_IIITA/<roll no>.txt, and follow Instructions.txt


4. Commit Your Changes

git add .
git commit -m "Added <your_roll_number>.txt to contributors"
git push origin main

5. Create a Pull Request

PR Title:

Added <your_roll_number>.txt to Contributors folder

PR Description:

  • Issue : # (Note: Issue Number that needs to be submitted here is Followed after the '#')
  • Mention that this is your onboarding task and add a motivating quote also .
