Mediability has been providing innovative solutions to the worlds largest broadcasters for more than 30 years. In that time we have honed our professional services to deliver innovations that maximise return on investment whilst reducing delivery risks. We still provide those same services to broadcasters today but we also now deliver those same services to e-gamers, sports teams, corporations, governments, pod casters, influencers and houses of worship.

Our team of seasoned engineers is ready to assist you in early stage consultancy on the design of your content creation infrastructure, with equipment logistics and procurement, with installation, configuration, training and the ultimate support of your finished technology solutions. With our experience in delivering technology across the content creation industries we are able to offer cutting-edge solutions that are tailored to your requirements. Our independence from 3rd party vendors ensures that the solutions we design are best of breed and the technology we deploy can be trusted to align closely with your requirements.

System Integration

It's what we do! We are experts in integrating complex technologies, from multiple diverse vendors, that combine into solutions that exceed what a single vendor solution can provide and which deliver on our clients requirements.

Technology solutions that are designed to produce high quality content or deliver rich media experiences are necessarily complex. To achieve a solution that delivers on complex requirements the design needs to skilfully combine technologies from several different vendors. Those solutions are frequently based on diverse deployment models encompassing on premise solutions, native cloud solutions or hybrid approaches.

On Prem and Cloud Integration

The Mediability team is made up of seasoned broadcast engineers who can assist you in the design, installation, project management, training and support of your studio and content production systems. With our expertise in constructing studio and control room infrastructure, we offer cutting-edge IP based solutions tailored to your exact requirements. Collaborating closely with a range of specialist vendors we can ensure that a fully integrated solution is designed allowing you to make informed decisions that align with your content production needs.

Mediability specialises in designing phased migrations for the delivery of complex integrated systems. Initially creating a comprehensive future technology model that aligns with the specific content creation goals of the client. This future modelling recognises that a single large leap to a new technology stack is often not feasible or desirable, even in green field projects. Designing a set of specific steps with their own goals and defined acceptance criteria allows even the most complex technology migration to be broken down into manageable steps. Mediability can work with your internal technology teams to bring real world installation experience into your planning for your next content technology deployment.

Consultancy

Mediability provides a range of consultancy services that can be tailored to the individual needs of our clients. Unlike some our consultancy practise is staffed with individuals who have real world project delivery experience. They can offer clear guidance that is grounded in reality rather than solutions that may be great in theory but with limited practical application.

At one end of the scale, for organisations with their own internal technology teams, Mediability provides small scale, cost effective, technology review services for designs that have already been refined to a high level and which are at final approval stage. Mediability can provide experts with recent experience of delivering multiple large scale projects of a similar scale. This experience can be used to advise on the risks behind key integrations, whether a budget is realistic or if a timeline is achievable, for example. In short we can provide confidence to your finance team, internal technology team, senior board stakeholders or C-suite that the proposed plan will deliver a return on investment or achieve a key business objectives.

At the other end of the scale, for organisations without senior technology leadership, Mediability can provide a full consultative design service that will meet your future content creation requirements. Working closely with your internal teams to lead workshops to elicit the key requirements we can model the before, after and migration stages of technology migrations and change programmes that will deliver on your content creation requirements at scale. Mediability can provide a full 3D design service allowing you to “walk through” your new content creation environment and to preview the kind of content you will create in your studio.

Installation

One of the key advantages of working with a company like Mediability is the provision of a full range of services right through from initial consultative design to on site delivery. Our teams spend just as much time on site delivering projects as they do designing them. That unique perspective allows our consultancy design work to be informed by real world installation experience and for our on site installation to proceed smoothly based on real world designs that work in practise.

Our install teams can provide the full range of services required for the successful installation of complex content creation systems. We have experts in wiring design and installation ensuring that cabling is neat, maintainable, correctly numbered and future proof. The team are certified to install a number of key vendor solutions for copper and optic fibre cable management systems ensuring fully certifiable signal paths and link budgets for your facility.

We also have configuration experts who are adept in modifying the default configurations of key equipment to ensure it communicates effectively with the wider system and supports an overall operational workflow. Mediability also has experts in network design, in RF antenna design, in comms, in media storage and MAM systems, in graphics system etc. Clients can rely on Mediability to provide competent installation and successful integration of the most complex content creation platforms based on the latest compressed and uncompressed IP and cloud technologies such as JPEG-XS, VSF TR-08:2022, NDI and ST2110.

Project management

As the installation of a Mediability project progresses based on the design that our consultants have created, the Mediability Project Management Office (PMO) takes responsibility for ensuring the project remains on track in terms of quality, time and cost.

PM-media

The Mediability PMO is the ultimate owner of the Mediability Project Management System (PMS), the Mediability Quality Management System (QMS), the Mediability Risk Management System (RMS) and the Mediability Change Management System (CMS). Together these systems work together to govern the way that projects are delivered, risks are managed, quality is maintained and change is managed within the projects that Mediability delivers.

The Mediability Project Management System is based on a Prince 2 approach and methodology with some additional enhancements designed to specifically improve the management of projects involving content creation technology. The Mediability Quality Management System is based on a mapping to the requirements of ISO9001:2015 and is designed to work closely with the project management systems. The Risk Management System following Prince 2 principles and the Change Management Process has been developed in house to fit in with the QMS and PMS system and to ensure that risks are assessed as part of the change management process.

Training

With every major project that the Mediability team delivers there is a comprehensive training programme that is designed to be delivered in parallel. Training from Mediability is architected in such a way that it not only provides individual competencies in operating specific equipment but also addresses the overall content creation workflow and how specific operator functions fit in. Each training programme that Mediability creates is bespoke to a clients specific needs.

Training - bilde

For some of our clients the introduction of content creation workflows in their business is new and triggers a major training requirement on specific equipment as well as on overall production workflows. Mediability can work closely with your HR team to assess individual skill sets, to define new job functions and to assist in training and assessments to get your workforce ready for the implementation of any new equipment and workflows.

For other clients they may already be entrenched in a particular content creation workflow, often using legacy equipment and this triggers a major change management requirement of which training is a key component. Mediability can work alongside your department heads to provide input to the change management process, ensuring that the smooth roll out of the technology is conducted in lockstep with the training of key staff. Mediability adopts a “train the trainer” approach with key individuals in your organisation empowered to train their teams on the new system helping to foster ownership and a team with a vested interest in the success of the new platform.

Support

We work closely with the vendors that we integrated for a given project to design levels of ongoing support that match our clients requirements. Early in the design of the system we will work through each line item of equipment to determine the support requirements. Certain items only require limited support, others are mission critical and require the highest levels of ongoing support and redundancy.

Support

For each item of equipment in the system Mediability will work with the vendor to determine the correct level of support that is required to meet the overall system uptime requirements. In addition to this individual equipment support, Mediability can also provide a range of services to enhance the individual support provided by vendors and to manage a triage process for new faults and support tickets as they come in.

This triage process is critical in the highly complex, interdependent, systems that are common place in modern content creation facilities. Vendors can end up pointing the finger at another vendor making it difficult to determine the root cause of a particular issue. Sometimes two vendors can be pushing a particular issue between their service departments rather than getting to a resolution. Mediability provides services that can mitigate these risks. Each client is assigned a Customer Success Manager who works closely with the support team and individuals from the original installation team. By using the team that designed and installed the system to triage faults as they come in they can be assigned to the correct vendor in real time avoiding many of these issues. To make sure that all issues are assigned correctly and as per the support contract signed we ask that all issues are reported by email to [email protected]. Mediability measures our customer satisfaction (CSAT) regularly to ensure we are exceeding our clients expectations. Our current CSAT score is above 90% which is a very high score reflecting our clients continued satisfaction with the services we deliver.

Work with Mediability on your next content technology project.
