Add a short text note to the first page or every page. Chinese, Latin text and emoji all render correctly. The same settings apply to each selected PDF, and each result is saved as a new file.

Edit PDF files online by adding a text note, label, or annotation directly onto a new copy. Choose one or up to 10 PDFs, enter the text once, select the first page or all pages, and set the position, size, and color. The browser processes each document locally, so the original PDFs are not uploaded or overwritten. Download each edited PDF with its source name or package the full batch as one ZIP.

Add text to a PDF without a desktop editor

This lightweight PDF editor is designed for adding text on top of a document, not for changing the existing text layer. It works well for short notes, labels, dates, review comments, and extra details on a form or scanned page. Enter one message, choose where it should appear, and the tool writes it into a fresh PDF copy.

Edit one PDF or a batch of documents

Select up to 10 PDF files when the same note belongs on several documents. The selected page scope, position, text size, and color are reused for the whole batch. Files are processed in order, progress shows which document is running, and each result keeps a cleaned version of its source name with -edited added. Download files individually or use the ZIP download after reviewing the results.

Choose the page scope and text style

Use First page for a cover note, approval mark, or one-page correction. Choose All pages when the same label belongs on every page, such as a department name or review status. Position the text in a corner or center, then adjust the size and color so it stays readable without covering important content. The text is placed as a new overlay; it does not erase or rewrite existing PDF text.

Check the output before sharing

Open the downloaded PDF and inspect the page where the text was added, especially when the source uses a small page size or unusual orientation. Keep the original beside the edited copy, and use a short message so it does not run into the page edge. If the result is not right, change the settings and run it again from the untouched source.

Private browser processing with clear limits

The local PDF editor reads each selected file in your browser and creates a new download; the documents are not sent to a remote editing service and no credits are used. Large or complex PDFs can use device memory, and standard PDF fonts may not support every writing system. For existing text replacement, rich annotations, images, shapes, or fillable form controls, use a full PDF editor instead.

How to use Edit PDF Online

Questions

Can I edit several PDF files at once?

Yes. Select up to 10 PDFs. The same text, page scope, position, size, and color are applied to each file, with separate named downloads and a ZIP option.

Can this tool change existing PDF text?

No. It adds a new text overlay. It does not replace, delete, or reflow the existing text layer.

Can I add text to every page?

Yes. Choose All pages. First page is the default when you only need a cover note or one-page label.

Will my PDF be uploaded?

No. Processing happens locally in your browser, and the original file remains on your device.

What are the output filenames?

Each result keeps the source filename and adds -edited before the .pdf extension. Duplicate names are made unique inside the ZIP download.

Can I add images, signatures, or shapes?

This tool only adds text overlays. Use the separate PDF signature tool for a signature image, or a full PDF editor for images and shapes.
