Have a question?
Ask our Support AssistantEmail Post Changes emails you each time an approved user edits an existing post or page on your site. Use it to get post change notifications when you work with editors, authors, or contributors.
Whenever someone changes a post or page, you receive an email like the one below. The email includes the HTML for each change so you can review what was edited. In the Block editor, the email shows the code for each block.

Email Post Changes notifies you about edits to existing posts and pages. Email Post Changes does not send emails for newly published posts. To get those, follow the blog instead.
You need an administrator role to change these settings. To enable Email Post Changes, follow the steps for your site type:
- Visit your site’s dashboard.
- Navigate to Settings → Writing.
- Scroll down to the Email Post Changes section and check the box for “Send an email when a post or page changes.”

- Select the users that should be notified whenever a post changes. The user’s display name, username, and email address are all shown for existing site users.
- To notify someone who is not part of your site, invite them as a user and select them in the Users to Email section.
- Next to Post Types, select whether to be notified about changes to your posts and pages.
- Email Post Changes covers published items by default. To include drafts, check the box next to Drafts for “Email changes to drafts, not just published items.”
- After you configure the settings, click the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page. Your settings are saved, and the selected users start receiving emails when a post or page changes.
