Hurray - new version of Azure Cosmos DB SDK supports using System.Text.Json just by setting UseSystemTextJsonSerializerWithOptions in the settings:

Back when we were working on VS2010, @jlzander (then the VS GM) would come to a daily standup and talk about issues he was facing in the latest nightly builds. Really made a mark on me.

100% agree. One of the things I most appreciated at Microsoft on the .NET was directors who regularly built their own demos, too. Lots of empathy from the top both for our own teams and customers.
