CEOs are elected by customers who vote with their money. There is competition so customers can make choices. It’s parallel. Heads of State are elected by citizens who vote with other people's money. It’s a monopoly with very bad incentives.

I'm getting a bit fed up with having CEOs issue statements on AI like they're heads of state. I'd much rather have our elected officials weigh in and debate this issue.

Any pursuit of superintelligence has to be grounded in the core principle that if the AI we build is not helping humanity and under human control, it's not worth pursuing. We also need to accelerate and spread the benefits of AI, such that they are diffused broadly across

This is the issue with the banked resets. I get that they largely provide some good will from OpenAI to the community and OpenAI doens't incur the full cost because the next reset is pushed out. But it can make managing subs tricky.
