Focused CupertinoSearchTextField does not hide prefix in higher accessibility text scale modes #168255
Native iOS search fields hide the search prefix icon when the search field is focused in higher accessibility text scale modes. This is to give the text content more space.
Normal
Scaled for Accessibility
CupertinoSearchTextField should respect this as well.
Can I take this? I was looking at the code and feel I can deliver this... if my understanding is correct, currently the default text size is 20, and if it's increased to be above 20, then we would need to hide the search icon?

Not the text size itself, the text accessibility scale. And I'm not sure it happens immediately above 20. This is the largest scale that still keeps the leading icon:

Above the point in the image, the icon is hidden, but below, the icon is displayed.
It should be doable by hiding
CupertinoSearchTextField.prefixIconif the scaled icon size is above the threshold in the image.faisalansari0367 commentedon Jun 30, 2025
It seems that scaled icon size always stay at 20
