5.0.0 AI Agent and live chat
The WordPress help desk that answers before you do.
A complete ticketing system inside WordPress, and an AI that answers from your own documentation — on your own server, if that is where you want it.
GPL. No ticket limit, no seat count, no trial clock.
A demonstration, answering from this site’s own pages. The real thing reads your knowledge base, FAQs and canned responses.
In the directory since 2014
Not a new product with a new landing page.
JS Help Desk has been in the WordPress plugin directory since 2014. These are its real figures, not rounded up and not our own analytics — anyone can check them.
Read from the WordPress.org plugin directory on 11 September 2026.

Running the desk
A real queue, and the promises that keep it moving.
Departments, priorities and custom statuses, transfer between departments, notes and canned responses — and, with a license, assignment to agents and the promises the desk keeps on its own.
- Front-end and guest tickets — customers never see wp-admin, and a visitor with no account can still get help.
- Two agent tiers, free. Full agents work the queue; Light Agents read and write notes but can never answer the customer.
- Response and resolution targets counted in your own working week, with clocks you can set to stop while you are waiting on the customer.
AI Agent
It answers from your documentation. Not from the internet.
Suggestions while the customer is still typing, grounded replies after, and automatic answers only where you have allowed them — every one of them cited from content you approved.
- Three places an answer can come from, and you choose. On-site search and a local model never leave your server; hosted is the only lane where ticket text goes anywhere else.
- Money, law, identity and credentials are never answered automatically. A core rule, checked before grounding is even considered.
- Shadow mode first. Going live is refused, not merely discouraged, until it has produced enough for you to judge by.
Add-ons
Nine add-ons, grouped by the job you are doing.
Not one plugin per feature. Each one is a whole job of running a desk — and since 5.0.0 every paid plan carries all nine, so there is nothing to compare and nothing to upgrade to.

Questions
The things people ask first.
Is the free version limited in any way?
No. Unlimited tickets, unlimited agents, unlimited departments, no trial clock. The paid add-ons do jobs the free plugin does not do; they do not lift a cap.
Do you really not charge per agent?
Really. Plans differ by how many sites the license covers, never by how many people answer tickets. A five-person desk and a fifty-person desk on one site both pay $99 a year.
Where is my ticket data stored?
In your own WordPress database, on your own hosting. There is no help desk cloud holding your customers’ conversations. The one exception is the hosted AI lane: it is switched on, but nothing is sent until you enter a key for an AI provider.
Will it work with the theme I already use?
The front end renders inside your theme’s content area and inherits your typography, and it is responsive and RTL-ready. If a theme fights it, that is a bug worth reporting rather than something you have to work around.
Can I see the add-ons before I buy?
The live demo runs the full product with every add-on installed, so you can open every screen before paying. A license also carries a 14-day refund.
How long does it take to set up?
About twenty minutes to a working desk: install, drop the portal on a page, create your departments, and give your people the agent role. The getting-started guide walks through each step.
Buying questions are answered on pricing, and upgrade questions in the upgrade notes.
Install it before you decide anything.
The free plugin is the whole desk, and it stays free. If it turns out you need teams, SLAs, email piping or the AI agent, one license covers all 9 add-ons for $99 a year.
