My 1983 944 is running hot… Replaced cooling fan, water pump, thermostat, flushed the cooling system, and bled the cooling system. Why is it still running hot? What would you change or check next?Also, the heater stopped turning on.. but hot or cool air (depending on the temperature dial setting) still blows through the vents when driving. I purchased my first Porsche several months ago. So far, I have taken it to Porsche of Dallas on Lemmon Avenue for a set of tires and an alignment. But moving forward, I would like to take it to an independent specialist who won't charge as much for routine maintenance or even repairs. Thank you for your help.

READ ANSWERMy '04, Boxster base has a high pitch whistling sound (driver's side) once I get up to speed. I recently replaced the AOS as I was told it could be the culprit. The whistling sound is still there. I can even hear it with the windows up, just not as much. What else should I consider or look into?

I have replaced my stock oil pressure sending unit with a 1999 911 one so I have a pressure gauge. I connected a sending wire to a VDO International II gauge. At start up the oil pressure is fine at about 5 bar. When the engine warms up, the pressure maxes out at about 40 psi at around 3000 to 6000 rpms. It idles about 4 or 5 psi. Do I need a different sending unit? The gauge is 10 to 180 ohms. a direct reading on the sender shows 44 ohms at idle warmed up. There is no resistance in t ...

I just had my C4 engine rebuilt in CA. I just moved to TX so now my mechanic can only assist from a distance. As stated, she went through a whole rebuild from a 3.6 to 3.8, and new clutch. I transported her to Texas in August, drove a few hundred miles for break-in. I noticed after a drive or when she is cold, a weep starts to form and drop to the surface.
