I watched a video on this site advising that if you were looking to buy a Cayman bore scoring was less common in the base models in the pre 9A1 engines. I am looking at a base 2006 carrera. Does this apply to the carrera cars too?

My 1983 944 is running hot… Replaced cooling fan, water pump, thermostat, flushed the cooling system, and bled the cooling system. Why is it still running hot? What would you change or check next?Also, the heater stopped turning on.. but hot or cool air (depending on the temperature dial setting) still blows through the vents when driving. Would the climate controls not functioning contribute to the cooling system ...
