Bulk Processing for Large Datasets

Available in: Free and Pro (background bulk endpoints need Pro)

Large syncs are split into batches so they don’t run into your host’s time limits.

Rows per batch

Jobs process rows in batches of 100. In Pro, each job has a Rows per batch setting in its last wizard step, from 10 to 5,000. If a large sync times out on your host, lower it. On a fast server, raising it makes big syncs finish sooner.

Background bulk processing (Pro)

For very large datasets, Pro has a background bulk processor that developers can start through the REST API. It:

  • Works in batches of 500 rows.
  • Runs each batch for up to 25 seconds.
  • Queues the next batch with Action Scheduler when it is available, or with a non-blocking request to your own site otherwise.

Endpoints, all under /wp-json/pushrow/v1/:

  • POST /bulk/export starts a bulk export.
  • POST /bulk/import starts a bulk import.
  • GET /bulk/status/{job_id} returns the progress.
  • POST /bulk/cancel/{job_id} cancels a running job.

See the REST API reference for authentication.
