PushRow connects to Google with your own OAuth credentials, so your data goes straight from your site to Google. You set this up once per site.
Step 1: Create a Google Cloud project
- Open the Google Cloud Console.
- Click Select a project, then New Project.
- Enter a name, for example “PushRow”, and click Create.
Step 2: Enable the two APIs
PushRow uses two Google APIs:
- Google Sheets API, to read and write spreadsheet data.
- Google Drive API, to list your spreadsheets (read-only file details).
In the Cloud Console, go to APIs & Services → Library, search for each API, open it and click Enable.
Step 3: Configure the OAuth consent screen
- Go to APIs & Services → OAuth consent screen.
- Choose External (or Internal for a Google Workspace organization).
- Fill in the app name, user support email and developer contact email.
- Add these two scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheetshttps://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.metadata.readonly
- Save and finish the remaining steps.
Step 4: Create an OAuth client ID
- Go to APIs & Services → Credentials.
- Click Create Credentials → OAuth client ID.
- Set Application type to Web application.
- Under Authorized redirect URIs, add the redirect URI shown on the PushRow Settings page. It looks like
https://your-site.com/wp-json/pushrow/v1/auth/callback. - Click Create, then copy the Client ID and Client Secret.
Step 5: Connect in WordPress
- Open Pushrow → Settings (or PushRow Pro → Settings).
- Paste the Client ID and Client Secret and save them.
- Click the button to connect your Google account, sign in and allow the requested access.
- When you return, the Settings page shows the connected Google account.
You can now create your first sync job. PushRow stores the Google access token encrypted in your WordPress database.
